About Journal

Neural Injury and Functional Reconstruction is a national-level academic journal specializing in neuroscience. Supervised by China’s Ministry of Education, it is hosted by Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and managed by its affiliated Tongji Hospital. As a monthly publication (ISSN 1001-117X, CN 42-1759/R), it is released on the 25th of each month. The journal is indexed in the Chinese Science and Technology Paper and Citation Database (CSTPCD) and is indexed in China’s Core Journals of Science and Technology (a source journal for statistical analysis of Chinese scientific papers). It is also indexed in Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS, USA), Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure), Wanfang Data, VIP Information, China Biomedical Literature Database, National Science and Technology Journal Open Access Platform, and Superstar Group, etc. Since 2011, it has practiced priority digital publishing on CNKI, and launched online first publication in 2020. Since 2008, the journal has collaborated with the renowned international magazine Glia (Impact Factor: 5.0) to feature its “Outstanding Research Papers from Glia” column—a partnership that continues today.

The journal’s Honorary Editors-in-Chief include Academicians Yang Xiongli, Wang Yongyan, and Duan Shumin from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The Editor-in-Chief is Professor Wang Wei, a renowned neuroscientist, former Executive Vice President of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and former Party Secretary of Tongji Hospital. The Editorial Director is Professor Tian Daishi, a Chang Jiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education and a professor in the Department of Neurology at Tongji Hospital. Additionally, numerous distinguished experts in neuroscience-related fields serve as editorial board members and peer reviewers for the journal.
