Abstract

The response to peripheral nerve injury and the epigenetic mechanisms affecting regeneration have not been elucidated. In this review, the epigenetic regulatory mechanisms in peripheral nerve regeneration after injury were reviewed from the aspects of DNA methylation, histone modification, and non-coding RNA, which will provide fundamental knowledge for optimizing clinical treatments after peripheral nerve injury.
